What football team won the game by pitching the football all the way down field to score? Tossing the football around, avoiding being tackled; so they pitch the ball to their team mates with little time left, and they went down and scored. I don’t know if they did that to win the game or they did that for fun. All i know is that they are a college football team and they scored by pitching the ball around. Does anyone know?

Since most of the college football teams begins their football season today, or at some point this Labor Day weekend. I would like to take the time, to ask what is the best college football movie ever. And also please tell me why, you think that movie is the best college football movie ever. The only 2 college football movies that I can think of are Rudy, and We Are Marshall. And I bet there will be people having Rudy on the list, since I bet that it is an old favorite, but will a more of a recent movie We Are Marshall going to be on the list? And I bet that there are some others that I could be forgetting about at the moment.

Oklahoma finished the 2007 season at 11-3 as Big 12 champions. The Sooners averaged 6. 4 yards per play on offense, the most for the team since 1987. The offense should continue to thrive, but the defense may be a bit of a question mark at this point in time.
Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford had one of the best freshman seasons in college football history. Bradford threw for 3,121 yards and 36 touchdowns with just eight interceptions. He led the nation in passing efficiency and his 36 touchdown passes stand as the NCAA freshman record. With a talented and experienced offensive line in front of him and an army of weapons at his disposal, Bradford should continue to improve in his sophomore season.
The Oklahoma offensive line is led by future NFL players Duke Robinson and Phil Loadholt. In fact, all five starters are back this season for an offensive line that ranks as one of the top units in the country.
The Sooners also welcome back wide receivers Juaquin Iglesias and Manuel Johnson. Iglesias led the team last season with 68 catches for 907 yards and five touchdowns. Junior Jermaine Gresham steps into the starting spot at tight end and appears to be someone to watch.
Senior running back Allen Patrick is gone, but the cupboard is anything but bare. The tandem of DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown combined for 1,375 yards and 22 touchdowns last season. Murray is just a sophomore, but he possesses great speed and elusiveness. He could very well have a huge season.
The defense only returns six starters, but three of them are along the defensive line. Oklahoma will have to rely on the front four to control the line of scrimmage; at least until the back seven get settled. The front four were equally successful at stopping the run and the pass in 2007.
The linebacker corps returns only one starter, Ryan Reynolds, who has a history of injury problems. The success of this unit could depend on the development of redshirt freshmen Travis Lewis and Austin Box, as well as junior college transfers J. R. Bryant and Mike Balogun.
The secondary returns both safeties from last season, Nic Harris and Lendy Holmes. Both have all-star potential and they’ll need to show it because the team will have two new starting cornerbacks this season. The likely starters are junior Brian Jackson and sophomore Dominique Franks. Both played well in the spring, but it remains to be seen how that translates into the season.
Receivers Iglesias and Murray return for the top kickoff return unit in the nation last season. Mike Knall returns as one of the Big 12’s best punters, but Oklahoma needs someone to step up and win the kicker job.
The schedule is favorable for the Sooners to make a run at the national title. The one possible roadblock is October 11th when Oklahoma travels to Dallas to face Texas. Bradford should continue to impress with talent all around him. If the defense can hide its inexperience, the Sooners should prevail as Big 12 South champions and make a play for their eighth national championship.

I have known a professional sports bettor for quite some time now. I call him a professional because that’s his main source of income and that he’s been consistently winning in almost every sports that he bet on. I asked him about the importance of learning the bettor’s lingo, stuff like odds, handicap, college football lines, and more. His reply was short.
“Learn them if you can. But remember, they’re just words,” he said.
I was immediately confused. I thought that isn’t it important that you learn all the terms that are used in any profession or hobby that you are considering of getting into? A phrase like college football lines can be quite daunting to any newcomer. He probably saw the confused look on my face because he was quick to follow it up.
“I’ll teach you what I consider as the basics that any first-time bettors should learn if he wants to consistently win in any bet,” he said. I was just glad and thankful for the free advice. So here are the top three tips that he gave me that day. I just summarized what he said and left out the rest of our conversation.
1. First of all, learn the terms such as handicap, college football lines, so on and so forth. It’s hard to place a bet when you don’t understand the words or terms that you’re using. Learn the lingo. But remember, these are just names. Saying them makes you sound professional. A term or concept like college football lines can get you so far ahead of the game. In short, learn the talk before you can walk the walk.
2. Be extra passionate about the sports. Yes, we are all in it for the money but you must also learn to love it, to be passionate about it. Be extra sensitive to whatever is happening to the teams. If you have a favorite team, and yes, you must have a favorite, learn about each player, the coaching stuff and the management. These are factors that have a great impact on the outcome of a game.
3. Place your bet on your favorite team. This is practical advice because it comes hand in hand with what I told you about being passionate about the game. If you have a favorite team then it means you follow them closely. That you are always updated on whatever is happening on that particular team. You know their stats, their level of morale and everything else that there is to know about your team. If you have all of these knowledge, it will be easier for you to understand the handicaps or college football lines of the time you’re in favor of.
Those are the three wonderful pieces of advice that this professional sports bettor imparted to me. I have placed bets before and I have won some but also lost some. But I haven’t heard of his advice then and right now I’m following every letter of his tips. I’ve been learning about college football lines, handicaps, odds and more. I’ve also been learning more about my favorite teams and I’m confident that I will be a professional and successful bettor in the next couple of months.
